Following in the successful tradition of the first Just Dance album, which took Pitbull, Guru Josh Project, and Kim Sozzi to the masses, we are proud to be back with Just Dance 2. Once again we’ve combined remixes from IDJ’s biggest talents and put them together with Ultra Records’ groundbreaking dance anthems. Highlights include Mariah Carey’s multi-format smash “Obsessed,” the summer anthem “Goodbye” from Kristinia Debarge, and artist/writer/producer extraordinaire The-Dream with “Walking On The Moon.” Couple these with the hottest dance artists and remixers in the world, including David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, and Basshunter, and you have the ultimate dance compilation to keep you warm and happy this winter.

Ultimate Dance Party 2000
You can’t please everybody all the time, though that is exactly what dance mixes with silly titles such as Ultimate Dance Party 2000 try to achieve. If this mix has any guiding philosophy or theme, it is that it throws together a lot of remixes of music from outside the dance genre, featuring pop divas, reggae superstars, and moody folkies. This is not a compilation to purchase if one is seeking innovative, contemporary dance music, but it is a solid set. It will get the party started, particularly if the party isn’t so savvy about dance music (in which case it’s probably best to get the latest Global Underground, CafĂ© del Mar, Mego label, or Ministry of Sound mix). –James Conde
